Let's start with the basics: the build. It's constructed from thick, durable 70mm timber. This means that the "summer" house is designed for year-round usage, from a New Year's Eve feast to camping out in spring or summer to running a business. Adding to the cosiness are double-glazed windows and timber floor and roof. And contributing to its durability and robustness are details such as treated terrace boards, to reduce problems with rain and damp. As for the aesthetics, just look at the elegant proportions. Note the windows on two sides that let light flood into the interior. And imagine yourself luxuriating on the terrace with a G&T or summer barbecue. Bliss indeed. The Arkansas 1 is a beautiful Traditional Log Cabin made from 70mm logs. Perfect for use as a hobby room or an outdoor social space this garden building also features a terrace area with adequate room for seating and potted plants. The Arkansas 1 also comes with double doors and double window to allow the log cabin to flood with natural light. The Arkansas 1 is a traditional Log Cabin with apex roof, cylinder locking double door, veranda and double glazing throughout. The walls are 70mm Chalet cut logs, roof boards are 19mm tongue and groove and a 28mm tongue and groove floor. The roof has the option of a felt or shingles covering. The double door has a low threshold door sill with stainless steel protective capping and laminated frame. This cabin can be built in reverse design and is supplied unfinished, so it can be stained or painted in any colour to suit. It has a manufacturer’s 5-year guarantee.

I would recommend a log cabin to anyone who has a garden. I also think Award Leisure is the best in the game. Their choice, knowledge, quality, value for money, honesty and accountability ? yes they actually do what they say and even acknowledge and accept blame to put right any issues. They are excellent from the moment you place your order to it being fitted. A self-assembly log cabin is one of the greatest inventions for the garden in modern times.

I've fitted many of the cabins or this company before i retired and have 2 of my own.My favourite in the pizza hut cabin and it's where you'll find me at weekends.My advice if you're fitting the cabin yourself is to unpack the whole pallet before you start and lay all of the same size pieces together.Then once unpacked familiar yourself with the pieces as you read the instructions.Do this first and you'll save yourself many hours of frustration.

One of the better buying experiences of the internet! Booked a week off work to build it and whilst I ached in a different place every night it was so satisfying to be able to say I built something! I found that the timber quality was excellent and as a result very easy to put together ? although you?ll need a rubber mallet. I used the spare logs as whackers. Delivery was within 2 weeks of ordering. Super all around benefits and value for money.

Spent many nights reviewing log cabins and chose Valkea, mainly because of reviews feedback and price, plus it was the one I liked best. Ordering through to delivery all went well, goods arrived on time I found it easy to erect than I thought it. I am extremely pleased with our cabin.

Well made and good value for money. There are nice attentions to detail that you get but don?t expect from a flat pack product and see in the pictures. Trims, skirting, spare logs and floor boards. They actually take into consideration that you might not get it right first time and damage something. I?d recommend Valkea anytime they made a job I was dreading and had no experience at seem easy.

I originally had felt on the roof but chose to replace them with shingles after the high winds ripped the felt off. I fitted these myself and it took me a day. Installation of the shingles was really tedious but makes the whole cabin look more expensive. for th effort you'll have to make afterwards when the felt blows off - AND IT WILL - spend a little more time and money on the felt shingles. They're brilliant.
